INSIDE EDGE opened as a retail business in 1998 to sell designer fabrics & wallcoverings, handcrafted home accessories and craft supplies for the home. It also offered a full interior design service, and could arrange special commissions from local designers.
It was founded by Fiona Lambert a professional interior designer with a passion for promoting the work of talented designer-makers mainly based in the Edinburgh area.The shop was a showcase for these unique high quality items, and quickly established a loyal customer base. However, the high overheads proved too much for the shop to be viable, and it was decided to develop the idea as an online business.
Our continued commitment to sustainable interiors has led to the unique mix of pre-loved and handmade items now available on our online shop.
